Please read these Terms of Use carefully before using InsDL ("we", "us", "our"), the Instagram video downloader service available at https://insdl.org (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Description of the Service

InsDL is a free, browser-based tool that helps users download publicly available Instagram videos, Reels, and IGTV content to their personal devices. The Service does not require registration or login. InsDL is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in any way officially connected to Instagram, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries.

2. Permitted Use

You may use the Service solely for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes, including:

  • Downloading publicly available Instagram videos for your own offline personal viewing
  • Saving content from your own Instagram account for personal archiving

3. Prohibited Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Download, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display content without the express permission of the copyright owner
  • Download content from private Instagram accounts that you do not own or have explicit permission to access
  • Use downloaded content for commercial purposes, including resale, monetization, or advertising
  • Infringe upon any intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, or privacy rights of Instagram, Meta, or content creators
  • Automate or script access to the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our servers (e.g., bots, crawlers, or bulk download tools)
  • Circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with security features of the Service
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malicious code, viruses, or any other harmful software

4. Intellectual Property and Copyright

All content available through Instagram is owned by the respective content creators or rights holders. Downloading Instagram videos does not transfer ownership or grant you any intellectual property rights.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of downloaded content complies with applicable copyright laws and Instagram's Terms of Service. We strongly encourage you to:

  • Obtain the content creator's permission before sharing or redistributing downloaded videos
  • Credit the original creator whenever you use their content
  • Only download content that you have a lawful right to access

5. No Account Required — No User Data Stored

The Service does not require account registration. We do not store Instagram URLs you submit, downloaded video files, or any personally identifiable information on our servers beyond what is described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time
  • Downloaded videos will be in any specific quality or format
  • All Instagram URLs will be successfully processed (e.g., private accounts or deleted videos cannot be downloaded)
  • The Service will be compatible with all devices or browsers

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, InsDL and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims exceed USD $100 or the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless InsDL and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content, privacy practices, or reliability of third-party sites and assume no responsibility for them.

10. Changes to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice, and without liability to you.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms of Use at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting to this page. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
